Elisabeth Gould

Originally from Yankton, Elisabeth Gould has performed the roles of Sugar Plum, Snow Queen, and Lead Angel in Dakota Dance Association’s The Nutcracker. She spent her summers traveling to dance programs like American Ballet Theater, Colorado Ballet & Ballet Magnificat!

After graduating from the Academy of Dance in 2017,  she moved to Chicago to train under Julianna Rubio Slager, Brette Benedict, and Antonio Rosario while performing for Ballet 5:8’s Studio Company. There she performed in many professional student shows and with the professional company, as well as various dance festivals & community events.

Her first professional gig was as a guest artist at Fox Valley Ballet’s The Nutcracker in 2017. She joined Magnum Opus Ballet as a Company Artist in 2019. There, she performed in the classical ballet “Full Light” set to Handle’s Messiah and the ballet  “Seeds,” performed in Collaboration with Gigi‘s Playhouse.

One of her highlights during that season was assisting with adaptive dance classes. Before the end of the season, she had the privilege of choreographing for the company and having works by Abigail Henninger, George Birkadze and Randall Flynn set on her.
