Chloe Hauge

Chloe Hauge is originally from Sioux Falls South Dakota and danced at Main Stage Ballet and Dance Academy from the age of 4. Two of her favorite roles she danced while at Main Stage were Marzipan in The Nutcracker, and the Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty. During her high school years she spent three of her summers away at Ballet Intensives, her first was with Ballet Nebraska, now American Midwest Ballet, then the next two with the Joffrey Ballet in New York City.

Chloe is a recent graduate of Marymount Manhattan College in New York City where she received her Bachelors in Arts in Dance with a concentration in Teaching, as well as a Minor in Law & Ethics and a Minor in Business Management. While Chloe was in New York she studied numerous Ballet techniques from a variety of teachers, the most influential being Francios Pender (POB), Elena Comendador, Harriet Clark (ABT), and Flavio Salazar (ABT). She also studied two techniques of Modern while she was there, May O’Donnell technique under Nancy Lushington and Sabatino Verlezza, and Alwin Nikolai technique under Tito Del Saz. She studied Jazz from Geoffrey Doig-Marx and Sheila Barker and Improvisation from Elisabeth Motley. Chloe was also an assistant teacher at the Alvin Ailey School part of her time while she was at MMC.

Although Chloe’s favorite technique is Ballet she also really enjoys other types of dance such as contemporary, tap, and hip hop. Chloe just completed her first professional dance job with HBO’s show We’re Here this past summer! She loves to perform but really loves to be in class learning from teachers with all sorts of backgrounds. When Chloe’s not dancing she enjoys working on a few costumes and sewing projects, painting, and printmaking. Chloe is elated and cannot wait to start her first year teaching with PDC!
